A simulated world is still a test environment.
NVIDIA expanded Cosmos with data, training and simulation tools for physical AI. Generated scenarios can broaden what developers test.

The pipeline includes the data.
NVIDIA describes tools for curating, labelling, augmenting and evaluating multimodal data, alongside model training and optimisation.

Rare does not have to mean untested.
The announcement includes synthetic data such as changed weather and lighting, or generated videos of rare or unsafe events. Those examples are generated data, not observations of real events.

Simulation does not certify deployment.
NVIDIA describes testing policies in simulation before real-world testing. Passing a synthetic scenario does not prove safe behaviour in every setting.

Before trusting the demonstration, ask:
What was simulated? Which real conditions were missing? What evidence connects the simulation to the intended environment?

Use synthetic data to widen the questions.
Keep provenance, held-out cases and real-world validation visible. Do not mistake a plausible scene for proof of performance.
